Where in the world?
Howdy folks, I hope your summers are going well! Exciting news – with your help, we’ve done our first profit transfer to our Pals! Your support has helped provide a little financial assistance to those in direct need and for that, we at OM are so very grateful.
Aside from sharing this exciting news, I wanted to take the opportunity to go into the weeds a bit on pricing, shipping, and production times—riveting, I know. But hopefully this will be helpful for some of you still trying to decide if OM is for you!
Where do you ship?
OM ships pretty much everywhere, with the exception of a couple of countries. Because we go through a third-party company to print and ship your purchase, we are restricted from their service area list. There are currently three countries on that list:
Russia
Ukraine
Belarus
However, if you are really interested in a product and happen to live in one of the aforementioned countries, reach out to us, and we’ll see what we can do. Just be aware that shipping costs and shipping times will likely increase. The situation in that part of the world is fluid, and we’re open to being as flexible as we possibly can. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer without any prior notice.
In case it is important for you - we at OM consider Russia and Israel to be the aggressors. Слава Україні і cлава Палестина. Крім того: Путін иди на хуй.
Speaking of the psychopath in the room, we DO NOT and WILL NOT ship to Israel. Israel is not a legitimate country, and we don’t ship to fantasy lands. Especially not ones composed of pure evil. This will never change. So if you are desperate for some OM merch, we suggest moving back to your home county. We probably ship there.
Why is shipping SO expensive?
Right. So here’s the situation (aside from the obvious answer - 🌈 capitalism 🌈): OM is a teeny company. While we are small, we are mighty. But our small size means that we do not have giant warehouses of back-stock ready to be shipped the moment you click ‘purchase.’ We employ a print-on-demand service that affords us the opportunity to do this work. It also helps cut down on waste, which is huge. They only print what gets ordered.
The company we use is based in the US. While they do have internationally-based printing companies they use, the majority are located in the US. Which means they ship from the US. Because we do not want to focus only on the US market, we’re in the very slow process of duplicating each design and reassigning it to a printer based in the EU. We don’t have everything duplicated, and not everything will be duplicated because not all products are offered at the same printers. Keep an eye out on the “Global” category for those items that might be less expensive. For some locations and products, we’re able to offer free shipping, so be on the lookout for those items as well.
If there is something that you REALLY want that isn’t available in the “Global” category, you can still buy it - just be prepared for it to cost a little more and take a little longer to get to you.
Why does it take so long?
Because we use a third party company to route orders to the various printers all over the world, shipping times are a bit annoying. In a world of same-day Prime shipping, we’ve grown used to getting things pretty much instantaneous. While that’s definitely a nice thing to have, it’s not feasible for small businesses like this. Sorry. We will never be competing with Prime, but that’s okay because we’re in this for the people, not the personal profit.
So, the process:
As you can see, it’s a bit varied. Just know that we monitor shipping consistently to ensure that things are not lost in their voyage to you. We also try to notify everyone of any delays that may be occurring, as well as any changes to the product’s ETA. However, if you don’t hear from us and want to know where your stuff is, reach out to us here or on Instagram.
We are so absurdly appreciative of each of you and hope you realize that your purchase here has helped bring a little positivity to the lives of those going through a really hellish and shit time.
Peace, love, and Free Falasteen,
